I'm impressed by your account of what happened in the Manchester Omni centre...sharpened carrots can indeed be lethal in the wrong hands (which hands are the right ones? certainly not Mancunian ones I'd say), as can any vegetable when used with sinister non-food intent. Just ask my brother, as an ambo (Aussie paramedic) he sees a fair amount of veggie abuse...then again what do you expect from the country that gave us Home and Away?
