Peter Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the US military is a fucking halfwit.
In a recent statement Mr Pace said that homosexuality was immoral. What I'd like to know is what's the moral difference between love between people of the same sex and dropping bombs that maim and kill fellow humans?
( Please note; I'm fully aware that Mr Pace could probably snap me in half like a rotten twig but I'm willing to take my chances.)

Now you are getting into questionable territory. Perceptions / opinions about homosexuality is all subjective. It depends on how you were raised, what you current place in life is, what your personal religious conviction....
No matter what our views are, and mine might not be the same as yours, he has the right (freedom of speech) to make such statements based on his personal conviction.
I don't make any statements around this subject because I believe that discussions around religion and politics make for bad friends.

I'm all for freedom of speech and the right of individuals to express their opinions even if they don't match my own. As a famous American once said "Sir, I may not agree with what you said but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
The point I was trying to make was that Gen Pace finds it immoral for people of the same sex to love each other but obviously has no moral issue with dropping bombs on people in a war that was started for the sole purpose of stealing another countries oil.
As my personal hero Bill Hicks once said about gays in the US military "Gays in the military, Here's how I feel about it, alright? Anyone... DUMB enough to want to be in the military, should be allowed in. End of fucking story. That should be the only requirement. I don't care how many push-ups you can do – put on a helmet, go wait in that fox hole. We'll tell you when we need you to kill somebody. I've been watching all these Congressional hearings and all these military guys and all the pundits going, "The esprit de corps will be affected, and we are such a moral... Excuse me, but aren't you all a bunch of fucking hired killers? Shut up! You are thugs, and when we need you to go blow the fuck out of a nation of little brown people, we'll let you know. Until then..."
