That term is the sole property of idiotic American fans who can't just say 'I like Dr Who' but need a label to validate themselves as something other than simply people who like a certain TV show.
What's the UK version then? I know the South African version would be "Whoovers", but then they don't know the difference between their TV shows and their vaccuum cleaners...
